fresh tortillas fast
To make corn tortillas, you only need 3 ingredients:
1 cup masa harina (corn flour for tortillas),
1/2 teaspoon salt, and
3/4 cup warm water.

Follow 7 simple steps to make the tortillas:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the masa harina and salt. Stir to combine.
Slowly add the warm water to the mixture, stirring to form a dough. Knead the dough for a few minutes until it is smooth and pliable.
Divide the dough into equal-sized balls, about the size of a ping pong ball.
On a lightly floured surface, use a rolling pin to roll out each dough ball into a thin circle.
Heat a dry skillet over medium-high heat. Place the tortilla in the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds, or until it starts to puff up.
Flip the tortilla and cook for another 30 seconds, or until it is lightly browned on both sides.
Repeat with the remaining dough balls, adding more flour to the surface as needed to prevent sticking.
Yields 4-6 tortillas
Serve warm with all the Fixings, or store them in an airtight container for later use.
Make 8 flour tortillas with these ingredients:
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of baking powder
3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1 cup of warm water
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until well-mixed. Add the oil and stir until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add the warm water, stirring until the dough comes together and forms a ball.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Divide the dough into 8 equal-sized balls and flatten them slightly.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Use a rolling pin to roll out each dough ball into a thin circle, about 6-8 inches in diameter.
Carefully transfer the tortilla to the hot skillet and cook for about 30 seconds, or until bubbles start to form on the surface.
Flip the tortilla and cook for an additional 30 seconds, or until it is lightly golden brown on both sides.
Repeat with the remaining dough balls, stacking the cooked tortillas on a plate and covering them with a clean kitchen towel to keep them warm.
Serve the tortillas warm with your favorite toppings, such as salsa, guacamole, or beans.
