Beef and Broccoli

Beware: today’s gravy is exceptional. If you love gravy, add a touch more beef stock for extra goodness.
Ingredients
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1 generous tbsp rice wine or dry sherry
1 generous tbsp soy sauce
generous 1/2 cup of beef stock
225g/8oz broccoli florets
2 tbsp corn flour (cornstarch)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 lb rump steak, finely sliced
1 tsp salt
1 cup Jasmine rice
Directions
Put steak in a container
Combine 1 tbsp corn flour with wine or sherry and soy sauce, stir into the meat and marinate for 30 minutes.
Prepare Jasmine rice.
Heat oil with salt and garlic, frying until the garlic is slightly browned.
Add the steak and marinade, frying for 4 minutes.
Remove the steak, add the broccoli and stir fry approx 3 minutes.
Add the stock, bring to boil, cover and simmer 5 minutes until the broccoli is just soft but still crisp.
Mix the rest of the corn flour with a little water and mix into the sauce.
Return the beef and simmer, stirring until the sauce clears and becomes thick.
Serve over Jasmine rice.
